The menu with ellipsized power buttons

SUMMARY
On my system, the labels on the power action buttons are ellipsized, e.g. instead of "Shut Down", the button only says "Shut D...". See attached screenshot.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the global menu

OBSERVED RESULT
The button labels are ellipsized.

EXPECTED RESULT
The button labels should be shown in their full length, even making the global menu wider if need be.
