Description Alexander van Gessel 2021-01-24 11:07:04 UTC
SUMMARY
Since 5.13, the lockscreen has 2 phases: the greeter and the password prompt. It used to be possible to open the prompt with essentially any interaction. Now, I can no longer open the prompt using keyboard input, and am required to use the mouse for this (movement or clicking, both work).

I suspect this coincided with the recent update from 5.19.5 to 5.20.5, but I'm not certain about that.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log into kde5
2. Lock the screen
3. Type as much as you want, press any button
4. Note that you remain in the 'greeter' phase

OBSERVED RESULT
The password prompt does not open.

EXPECTED RESULT
The password prompt opens and starts taking input.
