disabled compositing

SUMMARY
A few days ago I noticed that something changes in my panel when I leave full screen mode of a video played with mpv player. Then I remembered that mpv disables compositing in full screen mode and I was able to reproduce the panel change disabling and re-enabling compositing with alt+shift+F12 shortcut. Please compare the attached screenshots showing my system with compositing enabled and disabled and observe kcalc, weather report and Minimize All Windows widgets beside the digital clock and apps launcher. Their icons are bigger when compositing is disabled.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. add some widget(s) to Plasma panel
2. disable and re-enable compositing by pressing alt+shift+F12 shortcut
3.

EXPECTED RESULT
size of any icon on Plasma panel should not change depending on compositing state
