SUMMARY For some images item properties and and photograph properties not shown in main window. Attached are 2 images from the same camera shot within seconds, for one image (P8035593.JPG) the information in photograph and item properties is shown, for the other (P8035594.JPG) the informtion is not shown. Picasa shows the properties for both images correctly (see also attached screenshots from picasa and digikam STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. place P8035593.JPG and P8035594.JPG in a folder 2. add folder to collection in digikam 3. select folder in main view 4. select properties on right hand side 5. click on both images OBSERVED RESULT photograph and item properties are not shown for P8035594.JPG EXPECTED RESULT photograph and item properties are shown for P8035594.JPG in the same way as for P8035593.JPG SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Digikam: Version 7.2.0-beta2 Windows: Win 10 home version 2004 KDE Frameworks 5.77.0 Qt 5.15.2 (built against 5.15.2) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

We know the problem, but have not yet found a cause. Sometimes not all metadata from the image is read into the database during the first scan. We suspect that the images are blocked by other programs. Read in the metadata from the image again via the item menu e.g. Maik
Both images are ok here under Linux and in my Windows 10 VM. Maik
