SUMMARY
When dragging and dropping an applcation icon to the task area, during the dragging motion, screen freezes and after a few seconds the GDM login menu appears.  I'm not using SDDM with Wayland because another bug.

Just to be clear, when using X11, no issues.  This behavior only occurs when using wayland.

Discovered that this exact same issue occurs when trying to drag and drop to another panel, therefore it's not a lattedock caused issue, rather it is with plasma.  Changing product to plasmashell.
