highlight whole line when an item is selected

It would be great if when user select an item in dolphin (detailed view) the whole line is selected and not only up to the width of the file/folder name.
The selection process for now is painful when we try to select multiple items holding ctrl, because the mouse pointer should reach for each selection the text of the file/folder instead of just selecting easily the current line. So The selection can be triggered by clicking anywhere on current line and not until the mouse enter the item text name region.

Directly selecting the current line can minimize the path traversed by mouse pointer to select multiple items, but with current state the mouse pointer should make zigzag movement to reach each text name of the file especially with long and short file/folder names.
