(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kmail Version: 1.4.1 (using KDE 3.0.1 (CVS >= 20020327)) Severity: wishlist Installed from: (3.0) Compiler: gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18 OS/Compiler notes: Kmail currently allows to set a global language for automatically generated message ("you wrote:" ...). It would be valuable to be able to automatically switch this language based on directory or current identity. This will allow (for example) to set navite language for private mail folders and english for a mailing list. Does it make sense? Gilles. (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog)

IMHO the language settings should be easily selectable in the composer window (extending the spellchecking button to a drop down button) IMHO in a multilingual environment it will be impossible to set up per identity or per folder rules. often/mostly the language for replies just depends on the received mail. - would be nice if this could be detected automagicaly ferdinand

This is NOT a duplicate of bug 43349 - it is a duplicate of bug 80472.
