I'm afraid there's not much we can do without a backtace. :(

Then either there is another issue with the error report or that is another
issue with the nubie friendliness issue. In my experience so far I know and
can just find enough information to get myself into real deep trouble(as
opposed to shallow trouble).

What I can tell about the problem is the issue only began after I
experienced a crash that would allow a login but no access to the
filesystem at all. I couldn't even get a terminal emulator(a
black-screen-of-death). I couldn't even send a crash report at all. I
reinstalled the entire OS, and the desktop gui would be generic place
holders until after I clicked on them.

I'm a windows 10 refugee(with no real technical skills(beyond an ability to
get into trouble), is there any way I help with making KDE more nubie
friendly?

I can sympathize, and making KDE software mode regular-user friendly is of great importance to me!

Sounds like your whole OS is kind of messed up. Are you trying to install KDE packages on top of Ubuntu? Instead, I would recommend just using Kubuntu form the start. You'll have a much better experience. :)

No, I downloaded a Kubuntu ISO wrote it to a flash drive and installed it
from that :-P . I've had the same installation of Lubuntu 18.04 on my
wife's computer with kubuntu added onto that and no problems for about 9
months now, but all she does with her computer is surf and facebook, I'm
the one who tries to find the best applications and tries new programs and
games.
I'm on my 4th reinstallation now, in just this short of a period. I've
been trying Ubuntu distros for years now, stability has always been the
issue for me. Windows 10 going full spyware is a seriously big shove out
the door for me. But if I can't find a distro I can operate and is stable,
I'm forced to go back to windows. I'd hate that and that is why I'm
offering to be the test dummy.
