Created attachment 130902 [details] Screenshot of Konsole window with the blue line visible. SUMMARY A blue line appears at the left side of the Konsole window. I am running Arch Linux, kernel 5.8.1, Qt 5.15, Plasma 5.15.4, Frameworks 5.73, Intel UHD graphics 620. This glitch started after the upgrade to KDE Applications 20.08. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Allow the Konsole window to accumulate enough text to scroll. 2. Scroll upward and downward in the window. OBSERVED RESULT A blue line appears to the left of the text in the Konsole window. The shade of blue varies while scrolling. Usually, the line runs from top to bottom of the window. Sometimes, the line is only at one section of the window. EXPECTED RESULT No vertical line of various shades of blue to the left of Konsole text. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux, kernel 5.8.1 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73 Qt Version: 5.15
I'm sorry. This is a new feature called "Highlight the lines coming into view." It can be disabled in the Profile settings under Scrolling.

Indeed, it's a new feature, for an explanation of what it does have a look at: https://invent.kde.org/utilities/konsole/-/merge_requests/132
actually benjamin describes a bug, as the line should always be from the top to the bottom. Benjaim, I can't reproduce here - my line is always complete, can you send me a picture of what happen on yours?
Actually, tcanabrava@kde.org, the behavior is correct. The blue line goes from top to bottom only if I scroll the whole length of the window. Otherwise, the blue line appears next to newly visible lines of text.
sorry, this is indeed the new feature, I added a second vertical line at char position and I misunderstood.
