Diaglog when turning on native option
Comment 3 redhat.8h5ab 2020-08-08 14:57:00 UTC
I turned the option but it is still the same. It shows a different type of dialog but still cannot select the folder that I want. I also tried doing Ctrl + L and manually typing the location on address bar but it won't take it.

Since the native file dialog can be displayed with you, I suspect that these are native Ubuntu / Mint packages. The behavior cannot be reproduced here. I looked in the source code, there is no error, we set an initial path but no filters. I suspect broken Qt packets from Ubuntu. Please test it with the AppImage from www.digiKam.org.

Thank you guys for the help and prompt response. Like you said, it could be due to some broken packages.

I tried appimage on Fedora and it didn't work. I tried again with Fedora's flathub version from the Gnome software and it's the same issue. But with the Fedora's rmp version, I can see the dialog with the folders in my Home folder.
