Same thing on Arch linux if background transparency is enabled in Konsole settings. Embedded terminal of Kate is also affected. display scale 100% Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1
Can no longer reproduce on Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.72.0 Qt Version: 5.15.0 Kernel Version: 5.7.9-1-MANJARO Patrick, feel free to reopen if you can still reproduce it.
It's still reproducible on both Arch (Plasma 5.19.3) and neon unstable. 1. enable blur effect in Desktop Effects kcm 2. open Konsole, right-click on Konsole, choose "Edit current profile...", click on "Appearance" section, click on "Edit" button, check "Blur background", adjust the "Background transparency" slider to 100% and click on "Ok" button 3. open Dolphin or Kate and press F4: blur effect is not applied making the embedded terminal transparent Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2
(In reply to Patrick Silva from comment #4) > 2. open Konsole, right-click on Konsole, choose "Edit current profile...", > click on "Appearance" section, click on "Edit" button, check "Blur > background", adjust the "Background transparency" slider to 100% and click > on "Ok" button Humm, on X11 these Konsole settings have no effect on embedded terminals of both Dolphin and Kate. The embedded terminals are opaque and without blur.
I can reproduce it "again". The Manjaro update to 5.19.3 simply resetted blur config, making all solid again, which I didn't really notice. ;)
