It would be nice if it would be possible to paste pictures in the future.

Okular is not an editor, you can add stamp annotations.

Unfortunately that dies not cover my usecase, and it has nothing to do with not being an editor

Then you need to spend more than 0 seconds describing what "paste pictures" means, or you don't know that you can use any image you want as stamp annotation.

my usecase of okular is as follows:
I use it mainly for education purpose, where I use annotations to solve exercises. In some cases, I might want to insert a screenshot or other sort of picture as an annotation. This should be as conventient as pressing "Ctrl+V".

stamp annotations does not cover this usecase.
maybe you want to call it picture annotation or whatever
