Hi, Krita can't move or transform right after duplicating a layer (Ctrl+J). This bug makes it difficult to duplicate quickly a painted part of the picture (flowers, snow flake, textures patch) and duplicate/move it around. Step to reproduce: ================== 1. Open a new document, create a empty paint layer. 2. Paint a medium-sized dot on it. 3. Switch to the move tool (shortcut: T). 4. Duplicate your layer (Ctrl+J) 5. Try to move the new dot immediately. Result: ======= Krita does nothing, if you repeat the drag action on canvas three times, it will work at the third or fourth time. But it might be a timer, because it works after waiting four good seconds too.
It also looks a bit like on the duplicated layer you might have to click inside the exact bounds of the duplicated layer.

I noticed this too - In the Undo History the Duplicate Nodes step takes several seconds to appear, however if you click on a previous operation in that time span, the new duplication step instantly appears and the layer becomes editable. Pressing Ctrl+Z before it finishes seems to cancel the step entirely however.
Hi, I can't reproduce this one in Krita 4.2.2appimage. I guess this bug was fixed at the same time of this one https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408593 affecting also layer duplication and move/transform tools. Good news and thank you!
