Description Dirk 2019-05-14 20:11:13 UTC
SUMMARY
Conversion of RAW images to DNG during import creates wrong EXIF data.
Camera: Panasonic DC-GX9
At least the "Lens Model" is missing in the DNG file.
This is critical, because images are displayed without any lens correction!

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. import a RW2 image from Panasonic DC-GX9 using conversion to DNG
2. have a look to EXIF parameter: Lens is missing
3. convert the same image with Adobe DNG converter
4. have a look to EXIF parameter: Lens is mentioned
5. compare both converted iamges: images imported with DigiKam are distorted

Tested here with a DC-GX9 RAW => DNG file, the lens correction still works fine because the lens information has been copied to the XMP metadata. Due to a bug in Exiv2 we have to delete the makernotes at the moment. I will try to reproduce the bugs in Exiv2 with the CLI Tool and then create a bug report on Exiv2.
