Probably frameworks-kwindowsystem is not the right place to report this bug but I do not know where else to report since a search for "color scheme" does not show any results and searching for German "Farbschema für Anwendungen" neither. Anyhow, since last nights update "pop-up" windows like kruler, latte-docks configuration window but also all mouse-over windows are shown in an ugly dull gray - see attached screenshot. This does not only look horrible but the white text is hard to read on it. I use an nice looking, self edited version of "Krita darker" that is stored locally and thus can't have been updated during the system update. Anyhow, the same gray is used in all color schemes I tried, even the light ones. Thus I suppose this is not due to changes in the schemes themselves but in the way how they are applied. I'd be greatful if applying the schemes works as it did before or at least there is a way provided to change the color of the affected windows with a few mouse-clicks. I think this bug has to be reported here. Thus I changed the "Product".
Was compositing disabled? Try Alt+Shift+F12 and check the Settings in System Settings → Display → Compositor
(In reply to Kai Uwe Broulik from comment #3) > Was compositing disabled? Try Alt+Shift+F12 and check the Settings in System > Settings → Display → Compositor OpenGL 3.1 But changing to OpenGL 2.0 did not change nothing and choosing XRender made it even worse, the grey lighter.
Just saw, you're using Qt 5.12.2 now. Ask your distro to update your KDE Frameworks version to at least 5.57. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 405548 ***
