Description Cyril 2019-03-25 11:01:53 UTC
Softness is not applied with wipe transition.

I create several projects with proxy clips. Then I create a final project in which I load the previous projects (same configuration as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=390545 ).

Using wipe transition between two projects, apply softness of 10. It looks ok.
If you save the project, and then load it, the softness value is still 10, but it is not applied in the video. You have to delete the transition and recreate a new one.
Unfortunately, even running a render directly after creating the transition, even if it looks good, the softness is not applied in the final video.

Reproducible: Always

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1- Create a project A
2- Create a project B
3- Create a project Final
4- Load projects A and B
5- Put projects on timeline
6- Apply wipe transition with softness of 10.
7- Save project (and/or Render)
8- Close.
9- Load the project

OBSERVED RESULT
Softness is not applied

EXPECTED RESULT
Softness applied

No solution/workaround found so far...

It seems that this report is related to a very old unmaintained version. A lot changed since then and it is likely that this has been fixed (for me it works). Feel free to reopen this bug or create a new report if this is still happening with the latest version (https://kdenlive.org/en/download/)
