SUMMARY
Kdenlive Widow ver. 18.12.1 will not render jpg pictures. They are displayed OK in editing mode but once rendered, it only shows white screen.
It is working correctly for video files.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. I tried creating the same project on two different windows 10 machines

Thank you for reporting. Confirmed. 
This is a compiling issue with Windows. The team is working on the solution. With the next update of Kdenlive it should be fixed. 

Workaround: You have to convert all JPG to PNG and it renders correct. 

I close this bug as a duplicate of 376464
