latte panel with two non-colorized items: window list and folder view

SUMMARY

Many of the icons and text items added to a plasma panel or latte panel are colorized by the plasma theme, but not all. These uncolorized items stand out, and it would be nice for users to get a consistent look across all items in a panel. A step in that direction is for the folder view applet to offer a symbolic/monochrome icon to display that takes its color from the plasma theme, which may in turn take the color from the user's application color scheme.

I don't know enough about how the colorizing is achieved to suggest the best approach. Ideally, different symbolic icons could be used and colorized, but if the only colorized option were a generic folder icon, that would still be a welcome improvement. In my case, the folder is the downloads folder, so there are corresponding symbolic icons available.

No longer needed for Plasma 6; we can simply ask for the -symbolic version in the applet's CompactRepresentation code and it will do the right thing automatically. See Bug 416041.
