SUMMARY

exporting video to google photo fails

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. try to export to google photo a video to an an existing album
2. after a delay you get an error message
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT

Error transferring https://photoslibrary.googleapis.com/v1/mediaItems:batchCreate - server replied: Bad Request

and

video is not added to google photo

EXPECTED RESULT

video is added in the google photo album

exporting a photo fails also with same error message

if i create a new album then no problem to export a photo or a video

I think Gdrive is more generic that GPhoto, and it can host all kind of files.

I'm not sure if Gphoto can really, or can always host video as well. After all Google as YouTube for that (and supporting YouTube web-service is another story). Google service fetaures change in time...

This is a bug in the Google Photo API. We can not write in existing albums. You will see a locked folder icon in the album list.

yes today if you use G photo import tool you can still import video.

problem still there.

it seems the google photo api bug is still there.

Uploading videos works without problem. Just not to old existing albums and so it is a duplicate of Bug 400187.
