Occurrence: random / pretty high I usually abort Reboot or Shut Down and try again until it goes away. KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.54.0 Qt Version: 5.11.2 Present in both KDE Neon User Edition and Solus Plasma. Should be dealt with before Buster goes frozen.
I've seen this intermittently with git master in Neon too, but of course now that I try to reproduce it, I can't anymore.
Is this Wayland?

When you got that output, it was appearing in the taskmanager, correct? ksmserver-logout-greeter looks to be doing everything fine. I was able to reproduce this a few releases ago, but it's stopped happening to me since about 5.17 or so. Can anyone still see it with Plasma 5.17 or the upcoming 5.18?
I can still reliably reproduce it with Plasma 5.17.90 (and KDE Frameworks 5.66.0, Qt 5.14.1). It seems to happen especially if I select Logout several times in a row (and cancel it). Just now it didn't appear in the taskbar the first time, but did appear when I cancelled and choose Logout in the menu again just afterwards.

A bug that has not been fixed but has been closed with FIXED is a nasty bug. It's discouraging to see that reporters efforts are nullified by an unjustifiable decision. If you don't need us to report bugs, just let us know and we shall waste our time no more. PS On the bright side of things, in distributions that are using Clang the bug occurs much less frequently than in those that are using GCC. May or may not be a coincidence. @Nate It's alright.
