Created attachment 117027 [details] log file for crash SUMMARY This bug has been reported already (bug ID 384171, 385082, 394695) I reported already this bug for KStars v.2.8.2 (Bug 384171). It has been fixed up to v.2.9.6 but then reappeared in v.2.9.7 and v.2.9.8. It is still present in v. 3.0 STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. connect two ZWO cameras ZWO ASI1600MC-C for imaging and ZWO ASI120MC-S for guiding 2. take a picture with ZWO ASI1600MC-C in the imaging panel: no problem 3. take a picture with ZWO ASI120MC-S in the guiding panel: KStars crashes OBSERVED RESULT KStars crashes EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: MacOS: Mojave Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Just tested with ASI178MC and ASI120MC and couldn't replicate it sorry. There must be something else causing the crash. I probably asked you before, but this ONLY happens when the two cameras are connected?
No, I experienced the bug first when I was using the two cameras (normal setup) but now I got the bug when the ZWO ASI120MC-S camera was the ONLY device attached to the computer : KStars 3.0.0 crashed after I clicked on the capture arrow of the Imager panel. I'm sending the Apple crash report and the Ekos log file

The fact that : 1- the two cameras work well in TheSkyX 2- the bug doesn't appear each time 3- if I transfer the KStars app, the kstars folder and kstars prefs from one Mac (where it doesn't crash) to another Mac, it crashes ! 4- some versions of KStars don't crash while some others will crash (but it changes) That's a long time that I stopped programming but I would think at a bad definition of the parameters of a record (in Pascal) Sometimes the memory map is OK, sometimes not.
This bug has also been reported in Bug 384171 - ZWO ASI120MC-S camera crashes on MacOS
Can you please reproduce this issue in 3.5.4?
It seems to be fixed in 3.5.4. No crash with ASI120MC-S in the guiding panel.
