ZWO ASI120MC-S camera crashes KStars

This might be the continuation of Bug 383212 that I thought to be resolved.
I have a ZWO ASI120MC-S camera which crashes KSatrs 2.8.2 when used in the Focuser, the Plate Solver and the Guider panels.
It doesn't crash when used in the Imager panel

I think the FITS file is bad somehow from the ASI camera.

1. Can you upload a sample FITS after KStars crashes? When you check the log, it says where it is saved before crashing e.g.:

INFO	200.226465 sec	: Image saved to /Users/JCJ/Documents/INDI/kstars/Guider/IMAGE_001.fits

2. Please share your ZWO camera config file. It is saved by INDI inside your user home directory. E.g. on Raspberry Pi: /home/pi/.ZWO/ASIconfig.xml

Comment 4 Jasem Mutlaq 2018-12-30 06:00:04 UTC
Do you have this issue with KStars 3.0.0?
Comment 5 Jean-Claude 2018-12-30 09:00:25 UTC
YES I still get this issue with KStars 3.0.0
Comment 6 Jean-Claude 2018-12-30 09:39:35 UTC
Hi just the bug again. Here is what I did :
I created a profile containing only the two ZWO cameras (no scope, no focuser, no dome)
I started KStars 3.0.0 and Ekos
In the imager panel (ZWO ASI1600MC-C camera), I captured a picture. No problem.
In the guider panel (ZWO ASI120MC-S camera), I clicked on the button Loop. Crash.
I attach the KStars log and the Apple log.
Hope this helps.
I can do some more specific tests if asked for.

I did again the test three times with the ZWO ASI120MC-S camera ... and I got no crash using KStars 3.0.0 !
I don't know what to think.
I attach a compressed folder containing the three logs.

Comment 11 Jean-Claude 2018-12-31 12:03:10 UTC
There is something unstable in the code concerning the ZWO ASI120MC-S camera.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it keeps looping without taking any pictures, sometimes it crashes.
I have a laptop and a desktop : the bug occurred only on the laptop, not on the desktop. Thus I copied the KStars 3.0 app, the kstars folders and the prefs from the desktop to the laptop : it did crash !
Also I get from time to time the error (in red):
[ERROR] ASISetControlValue (Gain=80) error (16)
What does this means ?
Comment 12 Jean-Claude 2019-01-02 05:32:25 UTC
I verified again : The imager ZWO ASI1600MC-C camera and the guider ZWO ASI120MC-S camera work well in TheSkyX (no crash).
