Description Guo Yunhe 2018-10-21 10:25:16 UTC
SUMMARY

When changing look & feel from Breeze to Breeze Dark, GTK applications need manual settings.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. KDE desktop with Breeze look & feel
2. Go to KDE System settings --> Workspace theme --> Look & feel
3. Change look & feel to Breeze Dark
4. Start GTK application like GIMP, Firefox and check their application theme, cursor theme and icon theme.
5. Go to KDE System settings --> Application styles --> GTK applications and check settings.

OBSERVED RESULT

GTK theme won't change

EXPECTED RESULT

GTK theme will be changed automatically when KDE theme changed and the same theme for GTK is available (like Breeze and Breeze Dark). Most users would like a consistent experience.

SOFTWARE VERSIONS
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.50.0
Qt Version: 5.11.2

See also Bug 138866. Ideally all the settings in the GTK KCM could be inherited from their applicable versions in other KCMs.
