Created attachment 114796 [details] Screenshot on 2560x1080 monitor After buying a new monitor, I discovered a pretty cool issue - there are 2 Show Desktop icons, depends on resolution: 1. On standard HD resolution, 1920x1080, the icon is colorful, as the big icon in the popup, in the attached screenshot. 2. On UltraWide monitor, 2560x1080, the icon is as in the screenshot. Yes, throughout Plasma and KDE software in general, Plasma and Breeze icons change their appearance based on size, so we can optimize the presentation for different sizes. A part of this is that above a certain threshold, monochrome line-art icons can become full color. So in your screenshot, it's intentional that the large icon is colorized and the small one is monochrome line-art. Whether or not this *should* happen is a separate issue, but the assumption is baked into our icon theme and I don't think it's likely to be changed. If you don't like it, you're welcome to use a different icon theme.
Nate, the issue is about the small icon in the system tray, in both resolutions. The screenshot is just to describe the small icon (colorful on small resolution!). Sorry if it was not clear from the description.

(In reply to Dr. Chapatin from comment #3) > > *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 381960 *** Bug 381960 is about different panel height - how it's related to this issue?
The issue is that the icon changes its appearance (color -> monochrome and vice versa) depending on its size. Its size is dependent on, for example, the height of the panel or the size specified in the code. This is indeed a duplicate of bug 381960, which you'll notice is in the "Theme - Breeze" component. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 381960 ***
