Suuuper related to bug #397974 on git master - make new user - open kcm - add some languages - remove the languages with the remove button on the delegate in the list - last language cannot be removed This ultimately goes to much the same problem as the aforementioned bug report where you cannot restore the default because the default is nothing but the UI doesn't actually let you have a nothing. As mentioned in the other bug report this could possibly be solved by changing the default state to actually reflect the system level language selection, but that may be tricky to pull off reliably.

FWIW on my openSUSE Tumbleweed system I see "American English" as the sole item in the KCM, so it already seems to be working for me. Not sure this will be the case for everyone else in every other distro though, or if this is an openSUSE-specific configuration. Languages seem to be set up differently in different distros.
