This issue can be reproduced with Latte v0.8 in two ways: A(easy to reproduce): 1. After you login to plasma and show a Latte dock open a new kate window 2. Write something in the kate window without saving it 3. Try to log out 4. Kate will request user feedback for the unsaved changes 5. All Latte panels/docks have been disappeared because for some reason probably kwin have set them visible=false 6. You can confirm that Latte is working ok through Meta+W that shows Latte global settings windows B(harder to reproduce but I was so frustrated in the past from this that Latte v0.8 contains workarounds to not hit it): Latte from v0.8 supports different docks/panels in different Activities and when an Activity closes that makes docks/panels from different Activities to become invisible. The Latte workaround identifies this with timers and forces the Latte panels/docks to reappear 1. Use Latte in Multiple Layouts mode 2. Assign two layouts is different Activities 3. Enable these Activities in order for the corresponding layouts to load 4. Stop one of the two mentioned Activities 5. The docks/panels from the remaining Activity become invisible (Latte with the workaround forces them to reappear)

I can confirm that this problem happens on other gui apps without window decorations, like netease-cloud-music
Can reproduce this bug on X11 - Latte hides but shortcut is available, netease-cloud-music player can be minimized/unminimized but it's interface is not redrawing On Wayland there are no confirmation dialog - it's simply logs out Operating System: KDE neon Developer Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.80 Qt Version: 5.11.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.51.0 Kernel Version: 4.15.0-34-generic

This seems to be related to activities during session management interaction. Both areas are pretty much unmaintained in KWin. I would recommend to not use activities.
(In reply to Martin Flöser from comment #5) > This seems to be related to activities during session management > interaction. Both areas are pretty much unmaintained in KWin. Yeah, I know. I could try to workaround it in Latte under X11 as I have already done because this was also occurring for [B] but the workaround is nasty and it creates a lot of instability. > I would recommend to not use activities. Problem is that this occurs even when the Latte panel/docks have been set to AllActivities. So because the current moto is that in the future Activities will be introduced also in wayland by using the new VDs infrastructure I will keep things as it is and wait for the future to see what will happen.
I have similar bug. I can confirm that latte-dock does not close it self because the process is still there.
Plasma 5.22 Activities support, fixed this... should I close it, or leave it open for x11?
