Description vasosergiou 2018-06-16 11:05:22 UTC
Hi, when I enter text to search on and press enter, the GUI disappears rather than performing a search. I need to explicitly press "Search" for it to perform a search. I guess the default action on pressing enter seems to be either the "Cancel" or "Ok" buttons, not the "Search" button.

Can the default action on pressing the enter key be changed to the search button instead please. If your hands are already on the keyboard entering text, then why not follow that through with a search when pressing enter.

Thanks for the report, sadly fixing this (following your proposal which seems agreed on in general) needed bigger rework and has been only solved for Plasma 5.13 (see bug referenced as duplicated bug). So out of luck with 5.8 LTS.
