Assigned to Neon, discussed with jonathan, he can reproduce.
Comment 2 Jonathan Riddell 2018-02-07 16:22:03 UTC
I failed to rebuild qqc2-desktop-style for the new Qt (it's new and wasn't on my list), rebuilt now
Comment 3 Aleix Pol 2018-02-07 16:23:19 UTC
Can someone confirm this fixes the issue?
Comment 4 Jonathan Riddell 2018-02-07 16:24:25 UTC
snapshot running, for now you need to add
deb http://archive.neon.kde.org/release-lts xenial main
Comment 5 Jonathan Riddell 2018-02-07 17:15:17 UTC
Should be sorted now.

You can upgrade by running this in a Konsole `pkcon refresh && pkcon update`

Sorry I should have tested harder. We've added in a test for this now.

Sorrys, I view in status of this bug that are like Resolved Fixed, the fix its the solution post Jonathan in comment 5 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=390007#c5 ?
If its yes, this fixed work but only if I open konsole and I need execute this command in konsole, after this execution in konsole, Discover continue with the same crash.
Comment 11 Nate Graham 2018-02-10 00:09:03 UTC
If that didn't fix it, then please attach a backtrace of the crash to Bug 390158 and then re-open it.

No, not fix the issue for me.
I can update my system using this `pkcon refresh && pkcon update` in konsole, but if I open Discover, appears the same error.
This problem I have in 2 computers (one laptop and desktop) all with kubuntu 17.10 upgraded to Plasma 5.12.

Sorrys, I don't know how made backtrace of the crash for attach tu Bug 390158.
I search about how made this.

Thanks.
I read your link.
I can't or I don't know send backtrace.

I can start plasma-discover with gdb, but plasma-discover not "crash" (with her error message) only appears the error ("cgcicon.knsrc: all categories are missing") but not close or crash with the window for send report.
Also, I go to help menu and click in send error, but link to this site for create ticket.

In this 2 last days I view (in my 2 computers) this:
Laptop: If I open Discover appears searching updates and a few seconds after, no any update.
In Desktop I need search some package for appears no any update. If click in search update, appears "searching" all time.

In 2 computers, now, if not open Discover, appears updates and can install it, but when open Discover continue with the error message.
