Description Karolj Kocmaros 2018-01-20 06:59:44 UTC
Hi,

I use a lot HDMI, so every time I want to change my audio output I have to go to audio settings to change it, as it didn't change it automatically :) which is fine. But it would be much quicker if we could change audio profile from plasmoid in systry directly.

You can just drag and drop applications between output devices, or use the context menu of the device to set it as default

This is not about switching device for streams, but changing profiles of devices which is currently only possible from KCM as that is an advanced feature that is rarely used.

Hmmm, it is an advanced feature I agree, but redirecting stream to HDMI always require changing profile at least on my machine. For example on windows there is an option to select a 'playback device' and to correct if OS fails to redirect automatically to HDMI or if you want to change output to speakers or headset.

How HDMI stream redirection works for you?
Is it automatically redirected when you plug in the cable?
