Picture of settings won't save parametres.

Good morning, everyone,

I want to give you a feedback on an option that bugs (I only think with my printer), that's how things can move forward.

I explained myself I have recovered a printer in LPT1 (Brother HL-1230) that I connect to my PC under Kubuntu 17.10 with a USB/LPT1 adapter.

When I click on the printer management "kcm_printer_manager" (I think this) a window opens with an option "Configure".

So I will change the resolution which is 300*300 DPI to 600*600 DPI (it can do it I know, under Ubuntu/Unity no problem).

I apply the parameters (no errors), however when I return to it the parameters have not been taken into account.

Here is my problem, do not hesitate to contact me again:)
Have a nice day.

Not every printer will have a Resolution option; it's a driver-specific setting. None of my printers have one, so I can't try to reproduce the issue. Is anyone else able to reproduce?

Yes I understand, but in both cases (Kubuntu/Ubuntu) the driver for my printer is the same. The test page shows the same settings.
Driver: HL1250. PPD
Description: Brother HL-1230 series
Make and Model: Brother HL-1230 Foomatic/hl1250 (recommended)

So yes, I understand that correcting a bug when you don't have the same environment is not easy. However, my printer does have a resolution option in the settings. The difference in print quality is even obvious between Kubuntu and Ubuntu.

Ubuntu is 300*300 at the beginning I pass it to 600*600 DPI (the parameters are kept)
On Kubuntu the same scenario except that the parameters are not saved.

So I think this bug is independent of the driver.

If you wish I can set up a desktop sharing on the two different systems so that you can experiment.

Yours sincerely,
Jordan.

If you open that dialog, change the resolution, click OK and open the SAME dialog does the settings are lost?

This works for me.
