Use case: my computer is in my mother tongue and I use a professional email account in a different language (my personal email account matches the system language). Conclusion: It would seem more professional if reply and forward templates in the context of each email account would follow the language that is configured for spell checking, instead of the system language.
I was about to report this (again). Fortunately I realized I did already. I am more explicit about it below. I hope it receives a bit more attention this time... SUMMARY Let's consider two email accounts that use different languages (e.g. personal -> non-English, and work -> English). Then, Kmail should use this information so when there is a reply or forward email, automatic text is written in the proper associated language. Currently the associated language with the account is not used. Instead, only the language associated with the Default email account (or Kmail language, not sure given they are the same in my system) seems to be used. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create 2 different email accounts, each using a different language 2. Reply/Forward to an email in both 3. Look at the self-formated text OBSERVED RESULT Both appear in the same language when they shouldn't EXPECTED RESULT Each self-formatted text should appear in the language specified in settings SOFTWARE VERSIONS (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.13.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.50 Qt Version: 5.11.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is different from Bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353134 (which is long fixed in my system). I mentioned this issue in that context but got no attention. I thought that this deserves to be a bug on its own.
