when I open up krita everything seems to work fine except when i open a new canvas or try to work on an existing piece, i'm unable to draw and i can only see the lines i make when i click on the layer. The same goes when i try to scroll or zoom in and out, i have to click on the layer i'm on for it to work. Its not the first time its happened, last time i had to reset my computer and it seem to do the trick but i don't want to keep resetting my computer to be able to have krita work properly.
Since you left out the most important OS information on the bug report, we can't really get anything useful out of it... but judging by your symptoms it would very likely be the Intel driver bug... If you are using Windows and is on a system with Intel HD Graphics, then it is most definitely a bug in the Intel drivers. See Bug 360601 ** The current workaround would be to go to "Configure Krita" -> "Display" and uncheck OpenGL. ** Please reply so we know if this works or not. --- We're working on another way of handling the canvas display which should work better with the Intel drivers, and we have a test version available: https://krita.org/en/item/angle-and-windows-ink-a-new-test-version-of-krita-for-windows/ It would help if you can try it for a bit, and help fill in the short survey so we can see how well it works. We've also decided to include this in the next Krita release.
Created attachment 107730 [details] attachment-4190-0.html Got it to work by going to "configure krita" -> "performance" checking "enable performance logging" and unchecking "performance reporting" and then restarting my computer, that seemed do the trick. But if it does happen again i'll try what you suggested, thank you for replying though! I will try the test version and fill out the survey.
