disconnected wi-fi icon

See my screenshot.
I use Plasma 5.10.5 from Arch repositories.
Comment 1 Nate Graham 2017-10-30 20:51:38 UTC
I'm guessing this is largely intentional.

Too light, disconnected

Confirmed, not fixed in 5.43. Andreas, looks like your fix in https://cgit.kde.org/breeze-icons.git/commit/?id=2a6192a4196a5977362fe03bdf6637530c47ec6f might not have worked. I think I may see the probblem: the "low signal strength" icons were updated to be darker, but the "wifi disconnected" icon (network-wireless-acquiring) wasn't. See attached screenshots (open each in a new tab and switch between them and you'll notice the difference).

I still think the disconnected icon should be red, mirroring the "wired network disconnected" icon. Even at 50% lightness, the disconnected icon seems too light and leaves a visual gap in the status bar.

Yes, I agree with this. Consistency is key, and bringing attention to the wireless being disconnected is good, as it is with the wired connection.

That was fixed in https://phabricator.kde.org/D11390

We made the disconnected wifi icon darker and put a red X in the corner.
Comment 10 Patrick Silva 2018-04-02 00:54:27 UTC
neon dev unstable has frameworks 5.45 and I see no red X.
I'm still seeing the same icon from my first screenshot.
