curved lines come out angular

The lines come out angular and jagged on the canvas. On the brush preview, it doesn't happen. It only happens in the canvas, which might eventually be saved. I have searched online to find potential solutions and I have followed all that I have found, but the angular curves still happen. I have also read that it may be my tablet, but I have tried it out on other drawing programs and my lines come out smoothly curved in the other programs, so I doubt it's so.

What operating system are you on and what smoothing options did you have enabled? Which tablet are you using?

We've had bugs like this for OSX on older hardware where Apple's OpenGL driver just cannot handle the updates in time, and then blocks the event stream. On hardware like that, it might be be necessary to disable opengl :-(

The operating system is macOS Sierra, version 10.12.5. I was using no smoothing options when I made the reference picture, but after testing, I found that it happens regardless of smoothing or stabilizing option. The tablet I'm using is a Wacom Intuos Draw. After disabling open gl, I found that the angular lines aren't as bad, but they are still there.

Ignoring the issue with the lines(which may be an issue with my equipment), I think that this is a great program, though. It's a bit confusing with all the features, but I think it's the best free program I have found so far

According to what it says when I open the "about this mac" window, it's a MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2011)

Thanks for the info. It's a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373676 -- and it's worse on your system than on mine because mine is simply newer :-(

I'm not sure where to look for fixing this :-(
