after tried and found that global menu bar has not yet fully supported all applications, i switched back to default option to show menu bar in application. then i found that menu bar in umbrello is still missing even when the menu bar option is set to show in application. and i could not found anywhere to let the menu bar to show up again
Maybe a re-start of unbrello will help? This bug may also be related: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385236
Just one question: Does this happens with the KDE4 or KF5 variant (you can inspect this by opening the menu entry help->"About umbrello") ? With KDE4 I only can reproduce the case that no menu bar is shown with the following conditions: 1. /usr/share/apps/umbrello/umbrelloui.rc is not present 2. /usr/share/kde4/config/ui/ui_standards.rc is not present The first file comes from umbrello installation, the latter from kdelibs4 package. If they are missing there is something broken with the installation

Same here with every qt application. Tried to restore the settings - I had the global menu enabled and the menu bar disabled. Solus 3.9999 Plasma 5.14.3 KDE Framework 5.52.0
