plasma addons section in DISCOVER. the icon themes& icons section take ages to populate and sometimes fail to do so completely

1)in the discover software centre if i click to install updates etc i just get an installing dialog. the progress bars freeze as well as the whole discover app. it only unfreezes after all programs have stopped updating/installing.there is no way to see progress or time remaining or to do anything else in the app.

2) when clicking on icons or icon themes in discover application in PLASMA addons it takes a LONG time for the themes options to load. sometimes they dont even load at all. pls see screenshot of what im referring to

Do you always get such freeze when updating? Or only when updating certain kinds of assets?

hello. the problem occurrs while installing anything thru discover.
also pls note the delayed population of the various packages . eg
clicking on icons or any other thing takes forever to load the available
packages.

also after installing a package the install button sometimes doesnt turn
to remove. so there is no way of knowing if a package is already installed .

thank you fr your time and effort

Hello aleix i ve attached a screenshot of discover to show the problem.
i downloaded the opera browser deb package from their website . double
clicking on it opened it in discover. as you can see in the bottom left
corner it just displays " tasks 0%" and below it " installing" during
the whole install process. The progress bars move randomly ( sometimes
going backwards a little) and non linearly.During the whole install
process Discover sort of becomes unresponsive. with no way of knowing
how much time is left or what the real progress in the installation or
update is left. This becomes especially more apparent while installing
large programs ( eg a browser or libre office)

The problem with it taking forever to load icons and icon themes in the
plasma addons section in Discover seems to have been fixed.(the icon
themes section wouldnt even load at all before)

Thank you

discover problems 2.png

hello mr pol. so im including another screenshot of the problem in
discover. i clicked to install several programs together. the picture
shows that after a few of them have installed there are still empty
progress bars. the bug has been mentioned as closed. but discover is
very buggy.

also if you click on the 'plasma widgets' button nothing shows up for
a long time and then after ages the widget options show up? should i
file a separate bug for this?
