Description Maxxx 2016-10-11 13:50:30 UTC
Hi,
i installed Gentoo Amd64 on my pc with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070, KDE 5.7.5 GUI.
I installed correct Nvidia driver 367.44 and it work fine.
But i have a problem with composer Kwin.
If composer effects at boot is active (in setup menu) the dialog windows get locked to the desktop even if i exit from these, and then these dialog windows can't longer be move or delete from desktop.
I attach a snapshot of my desktop in which you can see 3 programs dropped in bar menu and the other dialog windows locked on the desktop.

https://postimg.org/image/kia5y9zpf/

This only happens with dialog windows and no with programs windows.
If i change some options on video setup (for exemple from opengl 2 to opengl 3.1) the dialog windows disappear, but if another get opened it remain locked again.

If I disable composer effects and reboot pc all work fine, and dialog windows don't get locked to the desktop.

I think it is a kwin problem, then i reemerge kwin but without results.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open setup windows
2.Open desktop behaviour
3.open dialog windows about cube effect (or any other dialog windows)
4.i setup and i push OK button
or
1.Open Firefox
2.open more table into firefox
3.close firefox
4.dialog windows appears, which ask me if i'm sure to close the tabs
5.i click YES button

Actual Results:
the dialog window get locked on desktop and i can't remove it.

Expected Results:
Close dialog windows if i click any options or if i click X button (for close)

My pc have a MSI mother board and intel i7 6700k, GPU Zotec Nvidia GTX 1070 (with appropriate drivers - 367.44)

Ok, I already see what I expected. Can you please tell me your settings of the translucency effect?
Comment 4 Maxxx 2016-10-12 06:54:59 UTC
In "General Translucensy Settings" i set a little bit of translucency in all options: Decoration, Inactive windows, moving Windows, Dialogs, Combobox popups and Menus... in "Inactive windows" i set bigger translucensy... but i haven't checked "Set menu translucency independently".
If i change level of translucency for an any options, windows don't change immediately, and translucency change after pc reboot.
