Dear all Preview mode is not saved anymore if I close and reopen Digikam. I always have to press f3 after opening Digikam. With 4.x this state was saved. /rho Reproducible: Always
I don't understand by "preview mode not saved" Please explain better and in details which settings is lost... For me nothing as changed about preview mode between DK 4 and 5. Gilles Caulier
Hi Gilles Ok, I try again;) When I start Digikam, I see the thumnails in multiple rows. Then I press f3 the view changes to the image preview. ((this is the state which is not saved)). When I close digikam and reopen, I see the multiple rows of thumbnails instead of the preview. If you like, i can take a video and upload .. /rho
I'n running KDE Frameworks 5.23.0 Qt 5.5.1 (built against 5.5.1) The xcb windowing system LSB Version: core-9.20160110ubuntu0.2-amd64:core-9.20160110ubuntu0.2-noarch:security-9.20160110ubuntu0.2-amd64:security-9.20160110ubuntu0.2-noarch Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS Release: 16.04 Codename: xenial
The behavior described is normal. Preview mode have never been saved with previous versions. At next DK session, you go back in thumbnails mode. Gilles Caulier
Yes, your're right and I'm wrong .. and it didn't work with 4.x either. Could we add this as a feature request instead?
Maik, Saving preview mode between session can be problematic for some end users... Your viewpoint ? Gilles
