I start up the Krita platform, but when I try drawing on the canvas window nothing happens. The dotted Krita Courser gets frozen in some random position on the canvas window, almost as if as soon as my mouse curser entered the window a screen shot was taken and layered of the actual canvas window; the canvas window is still functional, I just can't see what I'm doing, unless I (1) see what I have done in the tiny layer thumbnail or (2) click the tab that says "Normal" then my pen strokes suddenly appear! Or if I minimize the entire Krita program and come back to it, my work magically appears that way too. Did I possibly configure my tablet wrong? I have a Wacom Intuos pen and touch tablet (small) and I run on the Windows 7 operating system. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start Krita. 2.Try drawing something in Krita. 3.If you can't see it minimize and come back. Actual Results: Krita did not detect either my mouse or tablet. Expected Results: Krita will not detect either my mouse or tablet. I feel as though it is detecting them, but not displaying them unless further prompted by some sort of pseudo-refresh by selecting another option, tab, or window feature in the program. Also I feel it's worth noting that opening additional windows of Krita crashed krita, when I tried exiting one of them.
Sounds like a problem with the graphics drivers, actually. Does it still happen when you disable opengl in settings/configure krita/display? If so, what GPU do you have and is the driver up to date?
Please check whether disabling opengl helps. If so, it's a problem with your video driver.
