Hi,

I just upgraded on arch linux 64bit to Kdenlive 16.08.1 and now:
- project monitor has no icons
- timeline toolbar has no icons
- main toolbar has no icons
- timeline channel list smaller/bigger track icons for some reason use the kdenlive logo.

The main toolbar is set to icons only, changing to any other setting doesn't change anything.

I am unable to test git because mlt on arch linux appears to be reporting a wrong version and I thus can't configure kdenlive on my own.

Distribution packaging issue, so downstream is responsible.

Although we should be clear on the dependencies needed, where is this documented, do you know? I notice that this is an issue that affects many users and we could help solve it.

Dependencies vary with distribution and flavor. Take Kubuntu, Kdenlive works correctly. Now, take Ubuntu ... lots of packaging issues. Albeit, to be fair, Kubuntu works because some non-optional packages which are not properly marked as dependencies get installed on Kubuntu anyway. Users should clearly poke distro maintainers to do their job thoroughly, not pester thr Kdenlive devs who are innocent

I agree but we should clearly state what those dependencies are. Couldn't find anywhere on the Wiki nor in the User Manual info on this. Do you know where this documentation could be found at or if it exists? Either way we should be more explicit, and I am willing to contact the packagers of the major distro's to see it happen, but i need to know what the dependencies are.

I myself have been found in a situation like this:

Several closed bug reports exist; search for Kdenlive and resolved state, as well as keywords, such as "distro", "package", etc. Also some forum posts exist to the best of my aging knowledge.
