(In reply to Wegwerf from comment #5) > Farid, is this report still relevant? Just diggin the backlog... ;) i am going to do some tests and report back,
yes it is.
Today i tried installing kdenlive for a friend who uses linux mint 18 (she just switched to linux). I tried all 3 PPA version available in Launchpad and unfortunately he icons were missing in all 3 versions. I had to install breeze theme to be able to get the dark theme so this should be a clearly stated as a dependency for packagers to know. I couldn't figure out a way to get the icons to show even after installing breeze icons. Can any one confirm this? Cheers
When using Ubuntu 16.04 with Unity 7.4.0, I noticed that switching themes/styles will make the top menu options change the icons -- some of them being the red circle with a red line through it. I have to restart Kdenlive, then the Breeze theme kicks in. The icons don't get removed from the UI, however. I'll try to test on a Mint 18 machine as well.
