Description Tristan Miller 2016-08-17 13:34:50 UTC
It would be useful if the Plasma 5 clock would include a function by which one could quickly set an alarm. A "Set alarm" command could be added to the context menu. This would open up a cascading menu with the following entries:

1 minute from now
5 minutes from now
10 minutes from now
15 minutes from now
30 minutes from now
60 minutes from now
other…

Selecting "other…" would bring up a dialog allowing the user to select a relative or absolute time for the alarm.

(This report is a reincarnation of Bug 80503 for Kicker, which is currently unmaintained.)

Reproducible: Always

There's a timer applet.
Comment 2 Thomas Pfeiffer 2016-08-18 21:01:17 UTC
Indeed, the timer applet fulfills the "x minutes from now" usecase very well.
In general, a good alarm clock function would be a good thing to have for Plasma, though.
