As stated in comment 22 bug #350825 . Since the update to kf5 5.12.0 the battery and brightnes applet, when used from a panel, has a very small popup, hard to see / use. It's smaller than the one popping up when used from the systray, which works better. See bug #350825 for some screenshot Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. add the battery widget to a panel 2. open the battery widget from a panel 3. compare the pop up size with the one from the battery widget from the systray Actual Results: Notice the size difference between the two, sometimes, when many elements are present in the widget (multiple batteries, brightness controls or applications preventing the power management) some of them might be unreachable due to the size of the window and the lack of scroll possibility. Also the battery information section is reduced too much in size in such situation Expected Results: The networks battery window should be bigger when used from the panel, ideally the same size as when used from the systray. If needed some additional adjustment to accommodate when a lot of elements are present filling also a bigger window.
