Description Sam Keeper 2016-04-13 00:27:10 UTC
The brush appears to be misaligned in the brush preview window when using a Monoprice tablet. In the linked image you can see that the cursor seems to be offset from where the brush is actually painting by quite a few pixels diagonally. In the second image you can see painting with the mouse--the brush is NOT misaligned in this case. Thankfully, the brush also is apparently NOT misaligned on the actual canvas, JUST on the preview window.

I am running this on Windows 8.1 using a Monoprice with UC-Logic drivers, version 8.0.2015.204.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. See system and driver notes
2. Open Edit Brush Settings
3. Paint in the preview window with a standard mouse and with a stylus; note whether the cursor tip aligns with the center of the brush area.

Actual Results:
Brush tip appears to be consistently misaligned.

Brush tip misalignment in canvas

Update on this bug: I've discovered that apparently there's something odd going on with the alignment in the main canvas itself, as seen here. The eyedropper tool is detecting the color several pixels down and to the right of where it is actually located on the screen.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for your report. I'm afraid I cannot reproduce it, mainly because we don't have the hardware. Wacom, n-trig, yiynova and huion all seem to work correctly. Could you try to capture a tablet log for us? Maybe that'll help.

Please check https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Tablets for a howto.

Huion and Monoprice are mostly the same thing with different drivers, so its probly related.

Hi

Does it's also exist in Krita v2.9.11 or does it's a regression in v3.0 ?
