Description thebunnyrules 2015-10-30 08:36:27 UTC
All plasmoids including widgets, panels and wallpaper will randomly disappear leaving nothing but a black desktop, mouse cursor and whatever windows is open there. They still remain functional on one virtual desktop (usually the first, but not always) and dissapear on all the others. They will not reappear before I log out and log in again.

Sometimes, they dissapear on one screen and stay on the other one (not necessarily the main screen). This is much less frequent then first situation. Screen related disappearance happen randomly every 3 or 4 days. Virtual Desktop related problems happen 3 times a day (litterally a few hours of using using KDE. It is a massive issue in what else is a wonderful desktop experience.

This problem started right after the fresh install, so it's not related to anything I've added myself.

Plasma shell still works one virtual desktop. If you use deskto grid or hotkeys, you can still use the empty black screens and put Windows in them. Problem goes away after reboot.

I am use XRender for desktop composting, have 2 very powerful AMD graphic cards but they're running on Gallium as there are no Catalyst drivers for my current current kernel.

Here is some information about my system:

Octopi Sys-Info Output: http://pastebin.com/btVaPDDD
sudo blkid: http://pastebin.com/e4tzLh8Z
sudo fdisk -l: http://pastebin.com/060sNYvp
sudo journalctl -b | grep plasma: http://pastebin.com/skvn3v9e

This bug reports the same issue but in KDE 4.2 (a year and half ago - flagged unconfirmed): https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=333445

I have noted the following bugs that have same outcome as my bug though due differing circumstance (the connection of a new screen results in the absence of plasmoids -or black screen of what's going on as I call it- on the new monitor):

 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329958
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345227

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Use the computer a few hours
2.It comes by itself
3.
