My system is a Fedora 22 with the latest KDE 5.0.0. Among other things that are changed, is the ability to edit files in the file dialogs. For example, when you save a file, up to KDE 4 you could modify the filenames. But in KDE 5, you cannot alter filenames. This is a change for the worse. Even Windows have this ability. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a browser. 2. Save a file. 3. Save the file in a directory containing files. Actual Results: Try to rename an existing file, you cannot. Expected Results: You should be able to modify files inside system dialogues.
Could you please show a screen shot of the file dialog? It is possible that you are either missing the frameworksintegration plugin, or are not using a full Plasma session, and the dialogs will fall back to Qt versions.
If you can provide the information requested in comment #1, please add it.
Using Kate in my example. So, here is a screenshot ot the file dialog with Kate (I don't understand how this will help you see that my pressing F2 for example, I cannot rename the selected file, but, here it is :) ).

Are you sure this worked in KDE 4 applications? I just tried it, and the dialog did not change. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 189482 ***
Why do you say it's duplicate to the other bug? I am talking about KDE/Plasma/Framewarks/etc 5.0. Not 4... I will check again in my openSUSE box, but I do remember that I could do that on KDE 4.
If you checked, please add a comment.
