Description Matthias Müller 2015-06-26 14:38:33 UTC
In kcm I can only configure my touchpad, but not the touchscreen. I'm using a Sony Flip 15. The output of kcm-touchpad-list-devices is:

Name: Virtual core pointer Type: unknown Use: Pointer
Name: Virtual core keyboard Type: unknown Use: Keyboard
Name: Virtual core XTEST pointer Type: unknown Use: Extension Pointer
Name: Virtual core XTEST keyboard Type: unknown Use: Extension Keyboard
Name: Power Button Type: KEYBOARD Use: Extension Keyboard
Name: Video Bus Type: KEYBOARD Use: Extension Keyboard
Name: Sony Vaio Keys Type: KEYBOARD Use: Extension Keyboard
Name: Video Bus Type: KEYBOARD Use: Extension Keyboard
Name: Power Button Type: KEYBOARD Use: Extension Keyboard
Name: N-trig DuoSense Pen Type: TABLET Use: Extension Pointer
Name: N-trig DuoSense Type: TOUCHSCREEN Use: Extension Pointer
Name: Front Camera Type: KEYBOARD Use: Extension Keyboard
Name: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard Type: KEYBOARD Use: Extension Keyboard
Name: SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad Type: TOUCHPAD Use: Extension Pointer

But there is no way for me to configure the N-trig DuoSense (which is the touchscreen). And I should be able to configure the Pen and Touchscreen modes independently. At the moment I can do most things with my finger but not use Kickoff as it does not respond to the "finger klick". It works with the Pen...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use Touchscreen
2. "Klick" on Kickoff Menu with finger
3. Nothing happens

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
Klick should be recognized as expected

I'm Using fedora 22 kde spin

Right now the only way i know to enable/disable the touchscreen is by using xinput but no other configurations. I would love to have some settings under KDE Input Devices for touchscreens.

The exact issue you were reporting (touches not accepted in Plasma applets) was actually a driver bug. Most distros have fixed it now. If this is still happening for you with the latest version of your distro, please contact them. Thanks!
