Application: plasma-desktop (4.11.19) KDE Platform Version: 4.14.8 Qt Version: 4.8.6 Operating System: Linux 4.0.5-4.g56152db-desktop x86_64 Distribution: "openSUSE 13.2 (Harlequin) (x86_64)" -- Information about the crash: - What I was doing when the application crashed: Shutting down the session. Another two sessions where running in background when doing so. - Unusual behavior I noticed: When opening the firefox browser the menues where unreadable because of missing characters. This behavior was already filed as a bug to opensuse but apparently was not deemed to be interesting. It hits however also menus of dolphine and other programms. - Custom settings of the application: Upsized fontsize (to 12 I think, cannto controll right now because of crash screen). This X201 Lenovo is running with opensuse Kernel stable 4.04 and therefore also with very recent firmware. Normally it runs stable. The kernel was installed due to other problems with the mainline kernel. The problem described here is valid for both kernel versions and presents with random frequency, however quite frequent. The general screen representation is O:K. DPI has NOT been forced. -- Backtrace: Application: Shell del desktop di Plasma (plasma-desktop), signal: Aborted Using host libthread_db library "/lib64/libthread_db.so.1". Hello! This bug report was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this bug has already been resolved in Plasma 5. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this bug report. If the issue described here is still present in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding! Nate Graham
