I see multiple places of same point like root, desktop, documents and Dolphin also hags on about a minute right after startup (it can react on my actions for first 1-2 seconds). I reinstalled dolphin and removed all plugins, still the same result. Besides it's all happended right after ntfs-3g update from kubuntu backports

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Dolphin
2. Wait till it unfreezes (about a minute)
3. See 'places' panel

Actual Results:  
I see multiple places of same point like root, desktop, documents and Dolphin also hags on about a minute right after startup (it can react on my actions for first 1-2 seconds)

Expected Results:  
See dolphin starts right now and without multiple repeated places points

Dolphin version 15.04.0, used KDE 4.14.7

Thanks for the bug report! This looks like bug 347246. According to the latest comment there, the issue is fixed by upgrading to kdelibs 4.14.8.
