Description Thorsten Rochelmeyer 2015-05-06 13:55:15 UTC
Hi, good day, sorry for posting this under kde/general, but i have no idea where else to put it (and please feel free to move this wherever it belongs).

I have updated my laptop to Kubuntu 15.04 Vivid and tried to install this package from Synology:
<http://global.download.synology.com/download/Tools/CloudStation/3320/Ubuntu/x32/synology-cloud-station-3320.deb>
(Should this link fail, you could look for Synology Cloud Station 32bit for a 2-bay / DS213+ NAS on Synologys Download page) The Software synchronizes Folders between NAS and Desktop / handheld ... whatever. It should install and run even if you have no NAS at hand.

The package itself installs flawlessly, but the software does not start. There's a message saying: "KDEInit kann „ksystraycmd“ nicht starten: Bibliothek „/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libkdeinit5_ksystraycmd“ lässt sich nicht öffnen. Cannot load library /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libkdeinit5_ksystraycmd: (/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libkdeinit5_ksystraycmd.so: Kann die Shared-Object-Datei nicht öffnen: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden)"

Same software works flawlessly under 14.04 Trusty and someone in a forum said that it runs on his system as he upgraded (system-upgrade) to vivid - vs. a fresh install on my machine. I tend to believe that this problem is related to KDE, rather than a problem with the package itself.

I would really appreciate a fix for this problem. Please feel free to contact me if i can be helpful (mail: thorsten at rochelmeyer dot com)

Reproducible: Always

As a workaround i deleted the hidden folder .CloudStation and reinstalled the package. Now it runs as it should.
